Yay! Here is my first posting of my new blog!!!! So excited that I get to just let out all I have to say :) I have called my blog Big City 2 Small Town Gal bc pretty soon my lil one and I will be moving to where my husband's new job is located.
Here's the 411:
Hubby automatically got a brand new job working in an entirely different job field! Thanks to his friend from childhood :) Pretty good paycheck along with a bonus and benefits in 3 months :) So for me that meant leaving my job and becoming a stay at home mom to our son of a year. Now don't get me wrong, I've been working since I was 16 (ok 18-ish) and love to have a break. But with a 1 yr old...yeah right. Last day of work was 10/25 and it just hit me this past Monday that I'm not working. I guess a lot of things started swirling in my head and I had to catch myself from not over thinking the small stuff. Hubby now is gonna b the bread-maker and I need to trust him....But is that the right word to use? Like I said, a break would be nice and I guess I not need to worry...that's the right word....right? Being at home hopefully won't drive me crazy, but hey I get to catch up on my hobbies as writing (aka blogging, lol), cooking new recipes, baking and maybe finishing at least 1 of my many scrapbooks....o and can't forget my photography. Plus I also want to hopefully learn how to crochet...hopefully.
OMG! With all this blabbing I didn't even introduce myself! I just told u my situation like I already knew u. Which is how I am...Talk to u as if I've known u forever :)
I am 29 yrs old, have been married for a yr and a half to my soul mate and as I already mentioned have a 1 yr old. I currently live in Houston, TX and will soon be moving to Bay City, TX (so happy it's not THAT far from MALLS!) I was born in Houston and it's just gonna b weird moving away from my family. Being Hispanic, family is really important to me. Especially my mommy, my best friend. Hubby's from Lake Charles, so I'm pretty soon gonna feel how he felt when he moved. I love my city, but I can't wait for this adventure with my lil family :) Who knows, after a year or so of saving, we may get a house there or around the area, since all the houses I like aren't built like they used to in big cities. For the moment that's what I'm doing (searching for houses to rent) while at my family's place, wasting their electricity and food :) Wish me luck bc I don't plan on staying here long. Plus I really miss snuggling with my hubby :(
It's 3:02 am and I need some sleep, so until these fingers pound theses keys again.....don't hold your breath :)
